Gigli, 1989
I couldn’t help but think of Romeo Gigli when I saw Missoni’s stunning spring 2010 collection. The designer was a master of understanding and utilizing world dress, distilling from them a modern essentialist way of wearing garments starting with just the fabric.

And Marni had a bit of inspiration from Gigli as well, something in the air? It’ll be interesting to see if it pops up in Paris.
