Moschino, 1989

If there ever was a designer who captured the surrealist spirit of Schiaparelli it was Franco Moschino. His whimsical puns and mocking of the fashion system created some of the most unaffected and brutally honest clothes, garments that were seemingly conscious of their absurdity. Moschino understood humor and was able, unlike many in the industry, to take on life with a more leveled perspective.
