Dior’s post-war frivolity knew no boundaries, and where else should its unapologetic feminine confidence manifest itself? On the slopes! Only a mild beginning, these images see the start of a fashionable approach to skiwear as consumers became enamoured once again with luxury and leisure. At top are ensembles by Carven and Madeleine de Rauch. At bottom is a jacket by Calixte featuring quite the collar detail.
